Two Months of Acupuncture and "Brain Powder"
“He seems extremely quiet.” I noticed Alex wasn’t the usual 1.5 year old kid that runs around the house all the time. I shared my observation with Kelly over the dining table. Kelly, Alex’s mum said that he is always like that. He doesn’t baby talk and usually doing other things by himself. We realized that Alex could be suffering from Autism. I told Kelly to bring him for a routine check at a local pediatrician.
The pediatrician wasn’t sure that Alex could be suffering from Autism. There are signs but he cannot confirm them. We looked through the internet for alternative treatment for autism as there was no known cure for autism yet. We found a place in KL whereby this Chinese Master Tole has treated lots of autism kids. There was also an article at The Star paper that came out in 2011 that mentioned about how he treats autism through neuro-acupuncture. So, we have decided to go with this treatment as there were not a lot of options available.
We came to The TOLE centre at Jalan Sultan Ismail that weekend. It was at 2pm and there were lots of children running around the place with needles stuck on their head. I was quite amused by it. We chatted with some of the parents on whether this acupuncture works for autism and their reply was favorable. Though their kids have yet to be fully cured, however, most of the parents had noticed some changes on their autistic kids. For example, their kid has shows more responsive and better behavior. Their positive feedback gave us hope.
It was our turn for consultation. Upon doing an assessment test, Chinese master found that Alex is 75% autistic which saddens us. He told us not to worry as Alex is still young. He told us to hold Alex and in a blink of eyes he has inserting the needles on Alex’s scalp. Since we are from out of town, we were advised to send Alex for acupuncture session 3x a week. We were also given 14 packs of what he calls the brain powder for Alex to take 2 packs per day. We asked him when we can see the effectiveness of the treatment, he asked us to try it for 1 month. He also told us that we must control what Alex eats from now on. Avoid too sweet food such as Milo, sweets, Vitagen etc.
A month has passed. So far we did not see any difference in his behavior and were told to continue for another month. 3 weeks into the 2nd month, we did notice some prominent changes. He started to baby talk and when he wanted something, he point at it. At least now we would know what he wants. Although these changes are not significant, nevertheless, it was a starting point for us. We are not too sure how long more till he will recover and becomes a normal kid but if there is a chance, there is hope. Want to know more about them, kindly email your inquiry.
